The government of canada launches the 2 nd edition of the canada scholarships in a new format

This scholarship program in Canada aims to increase the possibilities for Canadian post-secondary institutions to welcome international students from a large number of countries in the framework of short-term exchanges in order to pursue studies or to carry out research.

 

Application file (original documents + their translation into French or English):

- For students enrolled in the Licence + Master:

  • Classification certificate
  • Academic transcripts of record
  • School Certificate for the current year 2020/2021
  • Language level certificate (English)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Copy of passport

- For PhD students:

  • School Certificate for the current year 2020/2021
  • Language level certificate (English and/or Spanish)
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Summary of the resarch project + research Proposal
  • Copy of passport 
  • Applicant's Letter of Intent:) a letter from the applicant, in English or French, describing the nature of the research or studies that will be carried out, explaining their reasoning for studying in Canada as well as their choice of Canadian institution, program and supervisor. The candidate must also indicate how the proposed study or research program will contribute to his future career (maximum one page).
  • Letter of support from the home institution: a letter in French or English from the candidate's lecturer, professor or international director on official letterhead from the home institution explaining the nature of the proposed studies in Canada and how the applicant and their institution will benefit from this scholarship program (maximum one page).
  • Letter of invitation from the Canadian supervisor: applications for graduate candidates must include a letter from the Canadian supervisor indicating their willingness to mentor the candidate. This letter must be on institution letterhead, be in English or French and be signed. It must demonstrate the support offered to the candidate during the exchange and explain how the Canadian institution, the supervisor and the peers will benefit from this exchange (maximum one page). This letter only concerns students registered in 2nd year Master who are preparing their final thesis.
