Objectives of the Conference:
- To investigate the historical backgrounds of the events and expose the colonial policy of ethnic cleansing.
- To highlight the role of Algerian resistance in sustaining and developing liberation consciousness.
- To reveal, through newly available documents, further details of the massacres and their repercussions on both sides.
- To examine coverage of the massacres in national, French, and international media from 1945 to the present.
- To explore the influence of the massacres on research, literary, and artistic productions at national and international levels.
